Everyone knows the best setting for a horror movie is a campground. This spine-chilling film has been giving camp counselors nightmares for over 40 years. Watching this movie in the summer will definitely give you the creeps.

There’s no better feeling than finishing up the school year. When the weather warms up and the teachers go home, all that’s left to do is party! This feel-good flick is an excellent summertime choice.
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) – Rated R

Summer is in the title, so of course we had to add it to our list. If you find yourself craving a good scare, I Know What You Did Last Summer is the perfect movie to watch. Just be prepared to scream.
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010) – Rated R

They might look like crazed killers waiting to prey on the next group of college kids, but Tucker and Dale are two of the sweetest guys you’ll ever meet. If you’re looking for a movie that’ll make you laugh from start to finish, this is the one. Simply put, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is one of the best spoof movies ever.

After watching a great white shark terrorizing a shore town for two hours, we guarantee you’ll think twice about taking a dip in the ocean. Jaws is about as terrifying as it gets.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) – Rated R

Jason Segal’s character gets dumped. So what does he do? He takes an epic vacation to Hawaii. While the trip doesn’t totally go as planned, it ends up being an unforgettable experience. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a top-tier comedy and should definitely be on your summertime watch list.

Wet Hot American Summer is another summertime movie that’ll have you rolling on the floor laughing. With the star-studded cast of Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Elizabeth Banks, and Bradley Cooper, this movie is a comedy powerhouse.

Who doesn’t love a good rom-com? When a recent college grad’s summer vacation plans get canceled, he’s forced to take up a job at a local amusement park. Little does he know, he’s about to find love. A great balance of laughs and romance, Adventureland is a must-watch.
